Q: How do I access free Wi-Fi?
A: If you already have a registered Starbucks Card, click on the Starbucks Card Rewards section of the BT Openzone landing page and enter your username and password.
If you do not have a registered Starbucks Card, you can purchase a Starbucks Card in store. Once you have purchased a Starbucks Card, please register through the Starbucks Card Rewards section of the BT Openzone landing page. Registration is easy and only takes a few moments; once registered you will be able to access free Wi-Fi straight away.
Q: How do I know if my local Starbucks store has Wi-Fi?
A: Starbucks BT Openzone hotspots can be identified by a window sticker in the front of the store. You can also identify which Starbucks stores offer Wi-Fi internet access by visiting our website www.starbucks.co.uk (UK stores) or www.starbucks.ie (Ireland stores) and by searching for hotspots using BT’s handy Wi-Fi hotspot locator at www.btopenzone.com/find
Q: What do I need to do to connect to the internet?
A: Turn on your wireless-enabled laptop or hand-held device. Once you are connected to the BT Openzone signal, simply open your web browser and go to www.btopenzone.com which will open the BT Openzone landing page. If this doesn’t work, type www.btopenzone.com into your browsers address bar.
Q: Is the free Wi-Fi limited?
A: Each session is limited to a maximum of 2 hours but you can have an unlimited number of sessions every day. This means that you will need to log out and log back in every 2 hours. Please note that acceptable use policy applies and this can be found here.
Q: If I register my Starbucks Card through a BT Openzone hotspot, will I be able to receive free extras in store straight away?
A: It can take up to 24 hours before you can access other free extras in store but you can get online straight away.
Q: Can I still use Wi-Fi at Starbucks if I am a T-mobile customer?
A: If you have roaming agreement with T-mobile (or any other provider) then you can access Wi-Fi through BT Openzone. Please contact your provider if you are unsure. Alternatively, purchase a Starbucks Card in store and register through www.btopenzone.com in a Starbucks store to access free Wi-Fi.
Q: Do I have to accept the terms and conditions?
A: Free Wi-Fi can only be accessed if you accept the Terms and Conditions this includes agreeing to receive limited marketing material from BT Group companies via email.
Q: I am having trouble setting up my Starbucks Card account and registering. What should I do?
A: If you are experiencing a problem with setting up your Starbucks Card customer account or registering please contact the Starbucks Customer Care phone number listed below.
Q: What should I do if I have forgotten my password or username?
A: Please click on the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the Starbucks Card Rewards page to reset your password. If you have forgotten your username, please contact Starbucks Customer Care on 0208 834 5050 (UK) or 01 677 0744 (Ireland) who are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
Q: I have registered my Starbucks Card over the phone through Customer Care and do not have a username or password, what should I do?
A: You will need to purchase a new Starbucks Card in-store and register this online to create a username and password. To transfer your previous balance to your new Starbucks Card please contact Starbucks Customer Care on 0208 834 5050 (UK) or 01 677 0744 (Ireland). You will be able to access free Wi-Fi as soon as you register your Starbucks Card.
