2005 CSR Report

Take a look at our latest Global Responsibility Report

Starbucks™ Shared Planet™

We've always believed in a better cup of coffee and creating a better future for coffee farmers. We also believe in improving communities and protecting the environment. That's why we have set up Starbucks™ Shared Planet™. You and Starbucks, it's bigger than coffee.

Our global goals define where we'll focus our efforts and commitments, and set our vision for working with our partners (that's what we call employees), customers and leading non-governmental organisations to find new solutions in meeting our goals.

Visit Starbucks™ Shared Planet™ to find out more about our global responsibility goals and to read our latest global responsibility report.

YOU choose to be our customer which means that we can work with organisations that help us to make a difference - follow the links below to find out more about our partnerships in the UK.

Working with the Fairtrade Foundation, supporting coffee farmers

The Fairtrade Foundation is the independent non-profit organisation that licenses the use of the FAIRTRADE MARK on products in the UK. Since 2002 Starbucks customers in the UK have been able to enjoy Fairtrade coffee and chocolate in all stores.

Find out more about our support for the Fairtrade Foundation in the UK and our commitment to the global Fairtrade movemnet.

Working with CARE International, building communities in Ethiopia

CARE International is one of the world’s top three aid agencies, fighting poverty and injustice in over 70 countries around the world and helping 65 million people each year to find routes out of poverty.

Find out about our West Hararghe Community Project and how Starbucks partners are raising funds to support water resources, education and learning and sustainable agriculture projects in the villages of Gewgew Dingette in western Ethiopia.

Working with the National Literacy Trust, strengthening communities in the UK

The National Literacy Trust links home, school and the wider community to inspire learners and create opportunity for everyone.

Find out how our Reading Communities partnership is bringing Starbucks partners and customers together with schools and libraries through a love of reading.
